I see these websites saying that they are paying you to do online surveys. Are they for real or is this a scam? One of these websites I saw is called vindaleresearch.

Yeah, they’re totally legit. They’re even more legit than a shady guy in a dark alley selling "brand new" DVDs.

If you want to make money from surveys and whatnot, you have to do it in person. 99.9% of internet surveys are scams. I made that number up, but it’s probably not far off.

Does giving your address / phone number in the online surveys or the ones that give you a chance to win something, for example, bring any consequences? Like spam, or anything else?

It is possible. I wouldn’t suggest you do that. If it turns out to be spam, those people who set it up can get all of your personal information and it could cause major problems for you. Then again sometimes you really don’t know. Usually you don’t win anything to be honest. But if I had to make that decision I wouldn’t take the chance.

I have had £50 from YouGov, but it took months to make that amount – it certainly won’t provide a regular income of any sort. All the others I have heard of seem to be scams.

I sell items on EBay and on a local auction site. Most of my items comes from yards sales, flea markets, discount bins at local stores, etc. I sell larger items locally, less shipping charges etc. Most customers will gladly pick up the items. Sometimes I buy items from the local site just to sell on EBay. You can get the same type of information that some people offer for sale just by checking out the Ebay site for free!
